California Desert
Hard to imagine that I grew up in this environment. I
haven't lived in the California desert for 17 years and it's taken me that long
to finally appreciate its unique beauty. I guess I can appreciate it more
knowing that I'll never live there again. Seriously, I don't know how anyone can
live in such a harsh environment - but take a look at Las Vegas! A population of
almost 2 million call that strange 'oasis' home. And the area that I grew up in
keeps growing and growing, too. Insanity if you ask me.Click a picture to see a larger view.
