Anchorage & Seward
We arrived in Anchorage on July 5th at 11:40pm, just as the sun was setting. John and Roni picked us up and on our way to the hotel, we saw 2 huge bull moose. Friday afternoon, Madeline spent the day with her childhood friend, Linda Carroll while Jimmy, Jim and Star went to the Eklutna campgrounds to see where the ceremony would take place on Saturday. We all had dinner together Friday, then Jimmy and Madeline went out to explore on their own before sunset midnight. Saturday before heading to the campground for the wedding, Jim, Star, Jimmy and Madeline walked around downtown Anchorage a bit. Sunday, we enjoyed lunch at a popular local's restaurant, Gwennie's, before heading out on the very scenic Seward Highway to see amazing mountains, glaciers and forests.
